The Ohio Prospects League (OPL) is a travel baseball league based in Northeast Ohio serving teams from 7u through 18u. Focused on balanced competition, sportsmanship, and player development, the OPL combines weekday league play with weekend tournaments to maximize both playing time and growth opportunities. Our goal is to provide a professional, fair, and enjoyable experience for every team and family involved.
Recognized for outstanding organization, the OPL handles all administrative details including team pages, rosters, schedules, scores, and pitch counts so coaches can focus on developing players. The league promotes respect and accountability, emphasizing sportsmanship and fair play. Schedules are manageable — from 14–18 games at younger levels to 10 games at the high school level — helping maintain healthy workloads and allowing for tournament participation. OPL also partners with Five Tool Baseball to provide free registration for 7U–14U teams, saving $90 and simplifying entry into major Ohio tournaments like Strongsville Memorial Day, GLBL, and Littlest Heroes.
The OPL has introduced a dynamic new structure featuring East and West divisions along with community-based lower divisions. This model helps teams match by talent level, reduce travel, and foster regional rivalries. A unique addition is the “Pod Division” concept, allowing teams of similar ability to form their own group within the league, determine participants, shape their schedules, and make limited rule adjustments to ensure balanced, competitive play.
The OPL season blends weekday league competition emphasizing player safety, development, and fun. Our streamlined administration and communication system ensures that coaches and families stay informed with accurate schedules, standings, and statistics throughout the season.
